Alpine Ash (Eucalyptus delegatensis)

Native hardwood harvested commercially in New South Wales, Tasmania and Victoria.  (Note: In Tasmania it is known as White or Gum top stringy bark).  Used in furniture, plywood, joinery, panelling, flooring, oars, skis, agricultural implements, handles, cooperage and general construction.

Native and planted hardwood harvested commercially in New South Wales and Queensland.  Used in poles, sleepers, flooring and building framework

Blackwood (Acacia melanoxylon)

Blackwood (Acacia melanoxylon)

Native hardwood harvested commercially in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia.
Timber is available in split staves, sawn material and plain or fancy veneer.  It is used in furniture and cabinet work, office fittings, panelling, inlays and billiard tables. Historically it was highly prized for barrel construction.

Celery Top Pine (Phyllocladus aspleniifolius)

Native softwood harvested commercially in Tasmania.  This timber swells very little when under the influence of increased moisture levels making it particularly suitable for wet areas.  It is used in bench tops, furniture, craftwood products and boat building.

Native and planted hardwood harvested commercially in New South Wales and Queensland.  Used in building, framework and joinery.
